چکیده

Powder metallurgy has been used for the manufacture of fully dense, which have not reacted composites consisting of a matrix of copper containing 50 -60 vol% particles with negative thermal ZrW2O8 expansion. On cycling between 25 and 300°C, the compounds showed coefficients thermal expansion which varies rapidly with temperature and significantly larger than expected by theory. Improvements in adhesion strength and thermal properties of composite materials have been achieved in atomized copper alloy with small additions of chromium to increase the interfacial bonding in composite Cu / diamond from a nano-sized thin Cr3C2layer.

Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Cold Rolled AISI 304L and 316L Austenitic Stainless Steels during Reversion Annealing

Microstructural evolutions during annealing of cold rolled AISI 304L and AISI 316L stainless steels were studied. Cold rolled AISI 304L alloy was fully martensitic but cold rolled AISI 316L alloy was partially martensitic due to the higher stability of the austenite phase in the latter. During continuous heating to elevated temperatures, the complete reversion of strain-induced martensite at 75...

Nanostructured bainitic steel obtained by powder metallurgy approach: structure, transformation kinetics and mechanical properties

A PM approach is investigated in the context of extremely fine low temperature bainitic steels with a reasonable combination of ultimate tensile strength and uniform elongation. The strategy consists of three steps. First, ball milling is used for mechanical alloying and to create a large density of interfaces prior to sintering. In the second step, spark plasma sintering is used as a rapid con...

Investigation of Hardness and Impact Toughness of Zr-Microalloyed Cast Steel

Microalloyed cast steels are a group of microalloyed steels in which reliable mechanical properties could be achieved by heat treatment. In this work, the heat treatment processes were carried out on the cast specimens as the step samples by different thicknesses and Zr content. The results show that after homogenization, variations in thickness have no effect on the hardness. Also, after hea...

Optimisation of the Chemical Composition and Manufacturing Route for ODS RAF Steels for Fusion Reactor Application

As the upper temperature for use of reduced activation ferritic/martensitic (RAFM) steels is presently limited by a drop in mechanical strength at about 550°C, Europe, Japan and the US are actively researching steels with high strength at higher operating temperatures, mainly using stable oxide dispersion. In addition, the numerous interfaces between matrix and oxide particles are expected to a...

Enhancement of mechanical properties of low carbon steel based on heat treatment and thermo-mechanical processing routes

Thermal treatments and thermo-mechanical processing routes were applied on a conventional structural steel (st37 steel: 0.12C-1.11Mn-0.16Si) for improvement of tensile properties and enhancement of work-hardening behavior. Full annealing resulted in a sheet with coarse ferrite grains and pearlite colonies arranged alternatively in distinct bands, which showed high ductility, low strength, and t...
